The user interface may show maximum disk usage approaching 100% (in red) when viewed in Statistics > Storage, as shown below:
This article explains the behavior of the PeerApp Cache system whenever the storage threshold is reached.
The cleaning cache algorithm is continually checking the overall cache used. When it reaches or is nearing the window cache threshold, which is 94% by default, it starts to delete the oldest hashes. If those hashes are still being used during the cleanup process, they will not be removed at that moment, but on the next clean cycle once they are free.
To verify if there is a real issue or if it is just the normal behavior of the system, please check the cache size in Statistics > Cache Content and confirm that the size decreases after reaching a maximum.
You can also monitor the storage utilization in Statistics > Storage to check if the volumes went 'green' after a certain period.
Both conditions above indicate that the PeerApp Cache is operating as intended.
Note: If for some reason the cache cleanup task is unable to execute successfully, Please open ticket and get assist to clear cache content manually.
