Overview
This article explains the SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) versions used by Lithium components.
Solution
Currently, SNMP v1 is used to configure and monitor interfaces, system states, and settings between Lithium components. SNMP v2 is used to send traps to external servers, like alarm stations. Version 2 of the SNMP protocol is used with a “public” / “public2” community string.
- If you need to update to SNMP v3, please contact our sales team for a better understanding.
