Overview
You might find that the SMSC is discarding all the SMS. This article provides the steps to verify one of the reasons this might happen and includes the steps to change this behavior.
Solution
-
The situation described above may be caused by an Advanced Filter created with Response Action set as
False
and without any active Filter conditions. -
Whenever that is the case, all messages being routed to this Advanced Filter will return False.
You can check whether the SMS were discarded due to this filter by checking the User Changes activity in the MGR GUI.
- Please check Settings > Errors and Changes > User Changes and compare when the change was done and when the issue started.
True
before disabling the Filter condition. Otherwise, this filter will return False to all messages and thus block them.
When first creating the filter, select "Return True". Then, after you create and activate the desired conditions for the filter, change the filter action to "Return False". If you create a filter with no conditions and a "Return False" action, the FAF will immediately return "False" to the RTR and will, therefore, block messages.
