TR-069 | Technical Report 069 (TR-069) is a technical specification of the Broadband Forum that defines an application layer protocol for remote management and provisioning of customer-premises equipment connected to an Internet Protocol network. |
USP | User Services Platform - the next version of TR-069 standard |
VoIP ATA | Voice Over IP Analog Telephone Adapter. Used to connect old analog telephones to a VoIP network. |
IPTV | Internet Protocol Television. The delivery of television content over IP networks. |
STB | Set-Top Box. |
CSR | Customer Service Representative. |
OSS/BSS | Operation Support System/Business Support System. Support management utilities integrate with Service Gateway to allow the UI features to function. |

EAP | JBoss Enterprise Application Platform. One of the supported Application Servers that Service Gateway runs on. |
KPI | Key Performance Indicators. Metrics that can be used to measure performance. |

ABP | Alternating Bit Protocol - A network protocol. |
EJB | Enterprise Java Bean - A server-side Java component used to encapsulate business logic. |
CWMP | CPE WAN Management Protocol - An app layer protocol used for managing CPE over IP Networks. |
STUN | Session Traversal Utilities for NAT. |
SAN | Storage Area Network - A Type of network-based storage. |
XMPP | eXtensible Messaging and Presence Protocol. Openfire is used as the XMPP server within Service Gateway. |
