Overview
Customers running Sandvine appliance which is a 3rd party network policy control platform may encounter a situation where PeerApp is not communicating with Sandvine due to the communication port being down.
Sandvine shows that the interface communication with PeerApp is administratively up but the port status is down.
Solution
This problem can occur when a PeerApp system interface is not up which is usually the case when the Guest VM is not running.
The issue should be resolved and PeerApp should start caching traffic normally after the Guest VM is started.
Submit a support ticket if you require assistance with this step or when further troubleshooting is required if the issue is not resolved even after the Guest VM is running.

Support agents can restart the Guest VM by following the procedure outlined in Restart Host and Guest VM Properly.
Refer to the PeerApp: Access Guide for important information on connecting to customer environments.

Note: Customers running releases older than UltraBand 7.0.15 that was released on Jul 30, 2021 are advised to consider an upgrade to the latest version. If on version 6.x or older the upgrade process to 7.x involves reinstalling the system with the latest released ISO. See Updating the PeerApp System to a Newer Version for more information.
