Overview
You want to know how the "country" field works in MOR routing rules and what criteria are applied when triggering the rule.
Information
- The countries and networks are defined in the GUI menu @ /Environment/Countries (or /Environment Networks).
- Countries contain the CC and MCC, while Network will contain MSISDN ranges and MNC.
- When you use a Routing Rule with Recipient Condition = country - Argentina, for example, as seen in an image below, it means that you are willing to match any MO-fwd-sm whose recipient MSISDN starts with 54* (dialing code for Argentina).
- Please remember that the MSISDNs inside the SMSC are always normalized with the Address Conversion rules (/Routing/AddressConversion/ConversionRules).
- This means, for example, if an MO-fwd reaches the SMSC with the recipient in National format (10 dig) or local format (6 to 8 dig), or any other format which is configured in the Address Conversion set, it still can match the condition of Country = Argentina in our example.
