Overview
A large amount of traffic is being rejected on your SMSR platform and there is a disconnection with the hub. You may be seeing an error in your logs that state "Sending data on connection failed: socket would block." See the full error message below.
NMM-RTR1 tp_hub: Sending data on connection (local)192.168.1.1:<port> - 111.11.11.11:<port>(remote) failed: socket would block
Information
The following troubleshooting steps should be performed in the first instance:
- Verify that there is no issue with the HUB component in NMM routers (e.g. NMM-RTR1 and NMM-RTR2). if they are configured to work in a fail-over mechanism, with a floating IP that is supposed to be attached with only one node, it may be attached to both nodes simultaneously.
- In such cases, stop the HUB service on one of the components, which should resolve the outage.
- Check the config files, and other license files. Ensure the '/usr/TextPass/etc/tp_ip_config.txt' file doesn't have any spacing issues. If it does, replace the tp_ip_config.txt file with a new one, and restart HUB. This should resolve the issue.
Testing
Now both HUBs in both nodes should be UP, with floating IP assigned to only one HUB. Further, traffic should be running normally again.
