Overview
You see a timeout error when trying to access a NewNet jump server via a GlobalProtect VPN. This error occurs because the jump servers have been migrated to AWS Cloud and therefore access is no longer possible through a GlobalProtect VPN.
Solution
<supportagent> Escalate the ticket to the BU for for them to create a S2S VPN for the user’s network. This will allow the user to access the NetNet jump box in VMwareCloud on AWS. </supportagent>
- Open a ticket with NewNet Support
- The support agent will ask for NewNet to create a site-to-site (S2S) VPN for your network. This will allow you to access the NetNet jump box in VMwareCloud on AWS.
- If you agree to connect your network via a S2S VPN you will be asked to fill out a VPN form with your network and security parameters.
- Once VPN has been set up, support will share the pre-shared key (PSK).
- Use the PSK to connect to the jump server via the S2S VPN.
Testing
The support agent will verify the connectivity with you after you have attempted to connect to the jump server using the new VPN.
