Overview
You have lost statistics for a particular period and are now interested in whether you can regenerate them using CDRs.
Information
The existing CDR profile generates info about submitted and delivered messages without all details as captured by the statistics like all errors on different flows such as MO, MT, AO or AT, statistics about application traffic, SRI-SM, messages stored, etc. So currently it's not possible to restore reliable/accurate statistical data from CDR files.
You can use the submitted and delivered SMSs in CDRs as a workaround to get the "Successfully Submitted" attempts from the ESME, and "Successfully Delivered" attempts to Mobile as an alternative to what is displayed in the Web Stats. You can find in the FWL both submit CDRs (AO) and deliver CDRs (MT) for this traffic scenario. To have a rough estimation of AO-MT statistics based on the CDR files, you can consider:
- From AGW - CDR files with status=submitted
- From FWL - CDR files with status=delivered
Recovering this data in STV is not feasible.
-
- The CDRs are generated upon submission and successful delivery of the message. The total traffic of AOMT statistics would require also CDRs indicating failed delivery with the respective network error.
- Usually, CDRs are not stored locally on the Traffic Element. If that's the case, any action re-processing CDRs would require the data to be available somewhere else, i.e. mediation system.
- Re-processing of CDRs for statistical reasons would require development, although this would result in unreliable/inaccurate data stats.
