Overview

This article instructs you on how to remove the alarm "failed to load smartfilter," which would be visible in the System Events block of the UBView Dashboard.

Solution

To remove the alarm, you need to reboot the Cache Engine. The following steps use the example above, with ce-4 showing the alarm:

1. SSH to the management IP of the server and enter the padmin credentials.
2. Run su - and enter the root password to get access.
3. Type su admin to get access to the CLI console.
4. Type show systemid to get the management service tag.
5. Type enable and enter the first service tag displayed in the previous step, without the '*' characters, as the enable password.
6. Power cycle the cache engine that was showing the alarm (For the example below, it's ce-4):  
   oper server 4
oper server 4#stop
oper server 4#powercycle
oper server 4#start
